The late Madam Victoria Agbotui who happens to be the mother of the ex Ghanaian president Jerry John Rawlings was given her final burial at the forecourt of the state house in Accra on 24th October 2020.
Being the mother of the ex president, there was the expectancy of great political personalities to grace the burial service of which the current flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress ,John Dramani Mahama was one of the highly expected people needs to be there at the beginning of the service. 
But it turns out the ex president and the current flag bearer of the NDC couldn’t appear at the kick start of the burial service due to his personal reasons . Ex Pres.John Mahama showed up at the funeral later in the afternoon in his white costume .
Although he been late at the burial service, his vice presidential candidate Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang , the NDC National chairman Ofosu Ampofo , Hon.
Okudzeto Ablakwa and other top NDC Political personalities were those present at the kick start of the funeral service.
