Malcolm Brogdon is an American professional basketball player who currently plays as a shooting guard for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association(NBA). He was born on December 11, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, and he grew up in the suburb of Norcross.
Brogdon attended Greater Atlanta Christian School, where he played basketball, and football, and ran track. He was a standout basketball player, leading his team to three consecutive state championships and earning the title of Mr. Georgia Basketball in his senior year.
In 2011, Brogdon enrolled at the University of Virginia, where he played for the Virginia Cavaliers men’s basketball team. During his time at Virginia, Brogdon was a two-time Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the All-ACC First Team twice. He was also a finalist for the John R. Wooden Award, which is given to the best player in college basketball.
