Matthew Louis Gaetz II has served as a member of Congress for Florida’s First Congressional District since 2017 when he was first elected to that position. His birth date in the United States is May 7th, 1982.

It has been said that he is a follower of far-right politics, despite the fact that he is a Republican and has become one of the most prominent congressional friends of the previous president Donald Trump.

 

Gaetz, son of Don Gaetz, had his early education at Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Don Gaetz is a well-known politician in the state of Florida. After graduating from William & Mary Law School, he worked as an attorney for a short period of time before making the decision to run for state representative.

Gaetz was one of nine legislators who, in April 2019, in response to the House’s decision to send troops to Yemen, pleaded with President Trump to meet with them and sign Senate Joint Resolution 7, which invokes the War Powers Act of 1973 to halt unapproved US military action.
