He made his professional debut in 2004 with the Colorado Rockies, playing from 2004 to 2008. He retired in 2018 also playing for the Colorado Rockies. In the interim, he played for teams like Oakland Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees.
After his retirement, he went into coaching as an outfielder and hitting coach at the Oklahoma State University in 2019.
