Michael Pezzetta, a forward who presently competes for the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL, was born in Canada on March 13, 1998. In the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, the Canadiens selected him with the 160th overall pick.
After being chosen by the Sudbury Wolves as the 11th overall pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, Pezzetta started his junior career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).
He played his first game in the OHL in the 2014–15 season. Pezzetta was traded to the Sarnia Sting in January 2018 while playing with Sudbury in his overage season.
Pezzetta and the Montreal Canadiens agreed to an entry-level contract on March 7, 2018. During the 2018–19 year, he made his professional debut with the Laval Rocket, the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate.
