Mofeed Fawzy was an Egyptian journalist, interviewer, and television presenter who was born on 19 June 1933 in Egypt to Fawzy Saad and a mother whose name is not known at the moment. According to sources, Fawzy’s encouraged him to pursue journalism as that was his passion.
Mofeed Fawzy graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English Department of Cairo University in the year 1959. Fawzy was the editor-in-chief of the Egyptian magazine Sabāh Al-Khayr.
Mofeed Fawzy was very notable for being the host of the Egyptian talk show Hadeeth Al-Madena, meaning Talk of the Town.
Mofeed Fawzy died after a long time illness on 4 December 2022 at age 89.
Mofeed Fawzy Children: Hanan Mofeed Fawzy
Mofeed Fawzy’s daughter, Hanan Mofeed Fawzy, was the only child he had with his late wife Amal El-Omdah, who was a broadcaster. Hanan is also poet, television host, and writer who works for Nisft Al-Dunya magazine.
Hanan Mofeed Fawzy is also a graduate of the Faculty of Arts’ Department of Psychology of Cairo University.
