Very bad news for Egyptian journalists as they mourn one of their own, Mofeed Fawzy, a professional journalist, interviewer and television personality who was born on 19th June 1933 in Beni Suef Governorate, Arab Republic of Egypt.
In 1959, Mofeed Fawzy received his degree in English from Cairo University’s Faculty of Arts. Throughout his career, Fawzy conducted interviews with some of the most significant political, literary, and artistic luminaries in the Arab world. His most well-known work as a TV host includes Talk of the town for he hosted for over 26 years.
Mofeed Fawzy was pronounced dead on December 4, 2022 after long battle with an unknown illness which later got him transferred to a hospital. At the time of his death. Mofeed Fawzy was 89 years old.
