According to Wakaso in a recent interview, Ayew took the issue the coolest way and was not distracted by how it played out in the media.
He further disclosed that he advised him on how to go about things before they went for the tournament.
“He didn’t look disturbed at all but I advised him that everything in this world is time-bound. If it’s yours, it’s for you so if you’ve been given the opportunity to serve, grab it. If we had won the tournament, he would have been praised as the captain,” – the Jiangsu Suning midfielder revealed.
Ghana were however knocked out of the competition at the quarter-final stage by Tunisia 5-4 on penalties.
