Workers asked Adams to draw “three or four pages of [the superhero] the Fly,” but Simon was unimpressed.
Nevertheless, Adams was asked to produce samples for the Archie teen-humour comics by sympathetic coworkers. In a 2000s interview, Adams said he unintentionally entered the comics industry by doing this.
