So this morning, my younger sister told me that, someone mistakenly sent an amount of Ghs.200 into her mobile money account and told her to immediately send it back to the number she received the unexpected transfer from for God’s sake.

Few minutes after receiving the message , the sender called us and was pleading for his money to be sent back to him because he mistakenly sent the money into my little sister’s account, instead of his sick mother in the hospital and we did, not knowing that they were scamming us.

The mistake we did was our failure to check the available balance in our account, to confirmed the amount we received from the fraudster before sending their money to them.

We were scammed this morning of 200 cedis.

Their number is not working again when we tried calling back after checking our account balance.

Here is what you must know;

Always check your balance anytime you receive such messages/calls to avoid being a victim like us.

Thanks.
