Ultimately, the objective is to produce young men who will go on to represent Newcastle United’s first team.

Requirements To Apply for Newcastle United Football Club Scholarship

To apply for a scholarship,

  1. You need to write a 500-word essay explaining why the player should receive a scholarship and for all of the information in this application to be filled out.
  2. You will need to download a copy of the 500-word essay at the same time that you complete this application.
  3. The information will be sent to the Newcastle Youth Football & Cheer Scholarship Review Committee for them to decide on what scholarships are accepted.
  4. If your scholarship is accepted you will receive a Coupon Code that will be good for 100% of the registration fee. The Coupon Code will be used at checkout when you complete your player’s registration.

In collaboration with Newcastle College and the National Football Youth League, we have established a remarkable opportunity for talented players aged 16 to 18. This unique program allows them to pursue their academic studies while gaining valuable practical experience in football, bridging the gap between grassroots and academy football.

Our team of highly qualified coaches, holding UEFA A to B licenses, is currently gearing up for a drop-in session and pre-season training in July. This will pave the way for the next intake of the Men’s Football and Education Post-16 Development Programme.

Our Scholarship programme, spanning over 2 to 3 years, offers a comprehensive Education and Football Development curriculum. We have partnered with both Professional and Non-League Football Clubs to ensure a well-rounded experience for our players. Our ultimate goal is to provide them with numerous opportunities and enriching experiences that will aid their progress both on and off the pitch. Through this scholarship, we aim to nurture not only their footballing skills but also their personal growth as individuals.
