A pair of Nike Air Nike shoes worn by Michael Jordan during Rookie Season being sold at $71,0001S sneakers that was specially made for basketball legend Michael Jordan during the start of his career is being offered for sale at an online market, Sotheby’s.

The shoe was made for him when he was with Chicago Bulls.

The bidding is open now through May 17 to coincide with the 35th anniversary of Nike’s launch of Air Jordan sneakers as well as the final episode of ESPN’s The Last Dance, a documentary series about the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls and Jordan’s renowned career.

The shoe was estimated at a presale price of between $100,000 and $150,000. As of Monday afternoon, report has it that there were eight bids, with the highest standing at $160,000.

The exclusive pair has some unique features that were not available with the sneakers sold in stores: they are mid-cuts whereas Nike only released high- and low-cuts to the public in 1985; the Nike trademark “Swooshes” are longer and leaner; they are made from leather and rubber; and they feature red laces, while the public release featured black and white laces.

In coming days, sales would be made.
