Norman Gene Macdonald popularly known as Norm Macdonald born October 17, 1959, in Quebec, Canada. He was a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, and writer who has featured in several movies and stage comedy.
He also hosted for a late-night comedy shows with controversial pundits. Macdonald was born to Ferne Macdonald, his mother and Percy Lloyd Macdonald, his father who were both teachers.
Macdonald’s father died of heart illness in 1990. Norm had two siblings who were actively influential in his career, Neil Macdonald and Leslie his younger brother.
He went to Gloucester High School in Ottawa. He dropped out of Carleton University in Ottawa after studying mathematics.
Later, Macdonald temporarily enrolled in Algonquin College’s journalism and broadcasting-television programs, working a number of manual labor jobs in between school times and before beginning his career in comedy.
