Pan became only the second Taiwanese golfer to win on the PGA Tour in 2019. He represented Taiwan as an amateur on the Eisenhower Trophy team in 2006, and then again in 2014.

At the 2014 Asian Games, he won two gold medals in golf, one for individual play and one for team play.

Taiwan’s representative in the 2016 World Cup of Golf, and a member of the international team in the 2019 Presidents Cup. In the 2020 Olympics, he won a bronze medal for Taiwan.

Pan was born in Taiwan’s Miaoli County. Pan’s father, a caddie who helped him get into the sport, died in 2010. Pan attended the IMG Golf Academy for three years before enrolling at the University of Washington.
