Paula Rego whose full name is Dame Maria Paula Figueroa Rego is a Portuguese-British visual artist who died recently today on June 8, 2022.

Paula was keenly known for her stance in her painting arts which included print based on storybooks. She has an evolved style representation of her artwork.

Paula Rego was born on January 26, 1935, in Lisbon, Portugal.

She is known to have studied at Slade School of Fine Art, and the University College of London respectively.

She was an ardent exhibition member of the London art group along with David Hockney and Frank Auerbach.

According to the reports before her death she was known to be the First Artist in residence at the National Gallery in London.
