Pierluigi Collina was known internationally as an Italian former football referee. He has been decorated with his performances and declared to be one of the best referees so far. Collina, however, was named FIFA’s Best Referee of the Year six consecutive times and is widely considered as one of the best referees so far.
Pierluigi was born in the month of February, on the 13th day of the year 1960; thus barely 62 years now, and he is still doing very well. He presided over the finals of the Champions League, World Cup, and UEFA Cup during his illustrious 28-year career as a referee. However, for many, Collina’s larger-than-life demeanour was what gave him such a prestigious reputation. He demanded respect from players, coaches, and fans everywhere, and in return received it.
Collina is known verily to be a disciplined referee, and for that matter, many footballers and even fans. Even his colleagues fear him sincerely.
