In a release from the Jubilee House, President of the Republic, Nana Akfuo-Addo confirmed all the rumors about the death of the former President, whiles declaring seven days of National mourning in his honour.

In the release, the president extends his condolence to the family and task the nation to fly the Flag of Ghana for the next seven days. He also ordered the closure of all political campaigns within the same period.

Finally, the state will go into seven days of National Mourning in honor of the late Ex president whiles a decision is made on his burial.
