French champions, Paris Saint Germain have confirmed the appointment of Former player and Tottenham boss Mauricio pochettino as new head coach, days after firing Thomas Tuchel for reasons still unknown to the football world.
The Argentine tactician who has been out of a job since his dismissal by Spurs in November 2019, a few months after guiding the north London club to the Champions League final, signed a deal that will keep him in the French capital until June 2022.
The 48 years old details how honored he is to return to a club he played for in the 2000’s. “I return to the club today with a lot of ambition and humility, and am eager to work with some of the world’s most talented players” He said.
The club’s chairman also believes Pochettino is the right man for their ambition. The return of Mauricio fits perfectly with our ambitions and it will be another exciting chapter for the club and one I am positive the fans will enjoy,” PSG chairman and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi said.
