Guy was first drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the first round in the 23rd pick during the NFL Draft in 1973.

Ray Guy played as a skilled punter for teams like the Oakland Raiders or the Los Angeles Raiders from 1973 to 1986. Guy played college football for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA.
