Reece Joel Oxford, is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Bundesliga team FC Augsburg, he was born in Edmonton, London, on December 16, 1998.

He made his West Ham United debut at the club’s youngest-ever age of 16 years and 198 days, breaking Billy Williams’ previous mark of 16 years and 221 days established in 1922.

Oxford was a lifelong admirer of Arsenal, and he started out playing football in the youth of Tottenham Hotspur, however he was let go by the team in 2011. Then, at the age of 13 years, he joined West Ham United.

Oxford made his competitive, first-team debut at the age of 16 years old, which he started in the middle of the pitch in a 3-0 victory over Andorran club Lusitanos in a UEFA Europa League first-round first-leg match, on July 2, 2015, however, he did this to become the youngest player in West Ham history.

Then, on 9 August, he made his Premier League debut, playing the first 79 minutes before being replaced by Kevin Nolan as West Ham defeated Arsenal 2-0. After making his debut, Oxford overtook Jose Baxter as the second-youngest Premier League starter of all time. He played for the under-18 team while still a schoolboy in the under-15 age group, and in August 2014, while still a 15-year-old, he was named to the League Cup bench.
