Robert Gabriel Helenius is a Swedish-Finnish professional boxer. Robert Helenius was born on 2nd January 1984. Robert Helenius has held a number of heavyweight titles at the regional level, twice winning the European crown between 2011 and 2016. At the 2006 European Championships, Helenius took home a silver medal as an amateur. Lamon Brewster, Samuel Peter, and Siarhei Liakhovich are among the famous opponents he has defeated.
At the tender age of 5, Helenius started boxing training with his father. One of Helenius’ first training and sparring partners in the early 2000s was Tony Halme. Helenius lost to Croatian Mario Preskar for the bronze medal at the 2000 European “cadets” (U 17) championships in Patras.

Robert Helenius was defeated by eventual champion Janne Katajisto in the opening round of the super heavyweight division at the 2001 Finnish Amateur Boxing Championships. The final that year saw Katajisto overcome Helenius.
At Mianyang, Helenius defeated David Price on points in 2005, but he later fell to Rustam Saidov.
