Rodion Amirov was a Russian professional ice hockey player who was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2020. He died two years after being diagnosed with a brain tumor on Monday, August 14, 2023, at the age of 21.

While playing for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), he was a top prospect for the Maple Leafs4. He died in Munich, Germany, while receiving treatment.

Amirov began his career in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) with his hometown club, Salavat Yulaev Ufa.

Before making his KHL debut with Salavat Yulaev Ufa in 2019-20, Amirov played for Tolpar Ufa and Supreme Hockey League affiliate club Toros Neftekamsk.

Amirov, then 19, appeared in 39 games for Salavat Yulaev in his second KHL season with Ufa in 2020-21, recording nine goals and thirteen points to rank third among KHL under-20 skaters before going scoreless in nine postseason games.
