Ronald Eugene Rivera (Ron Rivera) is the Washington Commanders’ head coach of the National Football League. Ron Rivera is 60 years old. Ron Rivera spent nine seasons with the Chicago Bears after being chosen by them in the second round of the 1984 NFL Draft. Rivera was a member of the 1985 team that won the Super Bowl XX.
Rivera began his coaching career in 1997 with the Bears as their quality assurance coach. Rivera served as the Philadelphia Eagles’ linebackers coach for two seasons before joining the Bears as their defensive coordinator in 2004.
In 2007, Rivera started working as a linebackers coach for the San Diego Chargers. A year later, Rivera was promoted to defensive coordinator.
Rivera was appointed head coach of the Carolina Panthers after spending three seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers. During his time there, the Panthers amassed the most victories ever.
