Ramsey praised the South Australian government in 2015 for creating the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission.
The Commission was given the job of evaluating the advantages and disadvantages of more nuclear industrial development for South Australia, which includes mining, processing, power generation, and waste management, starting in March 2015.
Ramsey held his Grey seat over Broadfoot by a narrower margin of 1.95% during the 2016 election. With a margin of 13.32% and a two-party preferred swing of 5.57% in his favour over Labor in the 2019 election, he easily retained the Grey seat, with Broadfoot coming in fourth.
