Sachio Kinugasa was a professional baseball payer who played the position of a third baseman. Kinugasa played professionally for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the Nippon Professional Baseball league for his entire career, that was from 1965 to 1987.

Sachio Kinugasa played baseball in high school for Heian High School in Kyoto, Japan. Kinugasa participated in the Japanese National High School Baseball Championship two times during his high school days.

Sachio Kinugasa was honoured with the People’s Honour Awards, making him the second to have received the award. Kinugasa was also honoured on 18 January 2023 by Google Doodle.
