Ghanaian songstress, Sista Afia’s manager Bossu Kule has argued that the songstress has worked hard enough to be crowned artist of the year at this year’s Vodafone Music Awards (VGMA).
Bossu Kule revealed that “Sista Afia has to be considered for the Artiste of the Year accolade considering how influential she has been during the year under review.
“Not only does she have hit songs but she has demonstrated her versatility in the industry and for me, I believe she has to be recognized as a game-changer.’
He said female artists should not be considered avant-garde but rather give them the full recognition that they deserved.
“Women are the epitome of music around the world and they always bring something different to music. We need to consider Ghanaian female artistes as major players in the industry.’
The late Ebony Reigns is the only female artist to have won VGMA artist of the year
