Stephen Robert Irwin was born on 22 February 1962, he is popularly known as “The Crocodile Hunter,” he is an Australian zookeeper, conservationist, television personality, wildlife specialist, and also environmentalist.
Irwin was educated about reptiles by his father, named Bob, and he also grew up surrounded by crocodiles and other reptiles. He co-host the internationally televised wildlife documentary series, known as The Crocodile Hunter, from 1996 to 2007, which he did with his wife named Terri. The series brought him international fame. Additionally, the couple served as hosts for the television programs Croc Files (1999–2001), The Crocodile Hunter Diaries (2002–2006), and New Breed Vets (2005). They also co-owned and ran Australia Zoo, which was established by Irwin’s parents and is located near Beerwah, about 80 km (50 mi) north of Brisbane, they both have two children. Irwin suffered a stingray injury in 2006 while making a documentary in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, which led to his death.
