Between 1978 and 1991, Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, often known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster, killed and dismembered seventeen men and boys.

He was an American serial killer and sex offender. In Dahmer’s later murders, cannibalism, necrophilia, and the long-term retention of body parts—typically the full or a piece of the skeleton—were recurrent features.

Dahmer was ruled to be legally sane during his trial despite having been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, schizotypal personality disorder, and a psychotic disorder.

On February 17, 1992, Jeffrey was sentenced to fifteen sentences of life imprisonment after being found guilty of fifteen of the sixteen murders he had committed in Wisconsin.
