While growing up he enjoyed watching rappers and was intrigued by the way they flowed with words. He began his career in the university.

Cheque was friends with fireboydml, blaqbonez and chinko ekun during his university days.

Back then, he was known as Kyle B, a name given to him by his friend Virus Zamorra. After graduating from OAU in 2017, He moved to Lagos, to pursue music.

He released an EP titled S.O.O.N (Something out of nothing), which featured the likes of fireboy, Virus zamorra and chinko Ekun.

He and Fireboydml were signed to a label called “Cruel station”.

Cheque started doing freestyles and even participated in the “Reminisce Murk Reminisce” challenge, which got him a DM from Phyno.

In February of the year 2019, he got signed to Penthauze, a record label owned by Nigerian indigenous rapper Phyno.

He featured on a song titled “NYEM SPACE” alongside his label mates, and also released his debut EP under the Penthauze label titled “RAZOR EP”, which had 5 tracks.

The EP became one of the top 5 Nigerian albums on iTunes within 24 hours of its release.

He has a new single titled Zoom which is making waves all over Africa. He has featured Davido and American rapper Wale on the remix of the song.
