Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Spanish side, Atletico Madrid, Thomas Teye Partey often simply known as Partey Thomas met with Cape Coast pitch invader & surprised him.

Awal Suleman met with Partey before the midfielder departed the country for club duties in Spain. Partey gifted Suleman a signed Black Stars jersey and some undisclosed amount of money.

The football-loving fan invaded the pitch during the Ghana Black Stars game against South Africa two days behind in the 74th minute of the match.

Seconds after finding himself on the pitch, he was arrested and put behind bars in a race that caused some of the nation’s security men to be falling helter-skelter.

His case is currently pending in court.

Meanwhile, the new star has disclosed his passion to play soccer.

He told Asempa FM;

“I am not only a 400 meters runner, but I also play football. I am a midfielder and I play for London Rovers, a second division club here in Cape Coast

“I am a very good athlete and I play football too but you know, after Senior High School if you do not get help to pursue [your dream career] all become waste. Now I am combining football with my nursing job and will like to be a professional footballer,” he added.
