Vince Dunn is a professional ice hockey defenseman from Canada, who was born on October 29, 1996. He is presently a member of the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL).
He was born and raised in Lindsay, Ontario, which was where he started playing bantam and midget hockey with his hometown team, the Peterborough Petes, and the Central Ontario Wolves.
Despite his coach’s refusal to let him leave the Wolves, Dunn was dissatisfied with his time there. In order for him to play with the Petes, he and his mother Tracy relocated an hour away.
Dunn was selected to play for the North American select squad at the 2012 Lekov Cup competition in the Czech Republic, while he was a member of the Petes.
Dunn drew scouts’ notice while playing in the OHL and won the IceDogs Top Defenceman of the Year Award twice in a row. He was ultimately selected by the St. Louis Blues in the second round, 56th overall, of the 2015 NHL Entry Draught, and in 2019, he participated in the team’s Stanley Cup victory.
