Mickey Rooney Jr. was an American actor who lived from July 3, 1945, until July 16, 2022.

He ran the film and television production company Rooney Entertainment Group and was the actor Mickey Rooney’s eldest son. Hemet, California-based, born-again Christian with an evangelical ministry.

Rooney was born on July 3, 1945, in Birmingham, Alabama, to singer Betty Jane Rase (1927–2002) and actor Mickey Rooney (1920–2014), both of whom were previous Miss Birmingham.

He made his acting debut in Hot Rods to Hell in 1967, following his brother Tim’s debut as a “Mouseketeer” in the Mickey Mouse Club in 1955.

Then, in 1975 and 1980, respectively, he had subsequent cameos in the movies Honeysuckle Rose and the television movie Beyond the Bermuda Triangle.

The Playboy Playmate of the Month, Merci Montello, was formerly married to Rooney. Rooney and Laura Hollander wed on December 30, 1986, after they initially met in 1986. They stayed together till her passing in 2006.

At the age of 93, Rooney passed away in Studio City from natural causes (including complications from diabetes) on April 6, 2014.
