Kayla Banwarth was born on January 21, 1989, she is known as an American college volleyball coach, Kayla won gold at the 2014 World Championship, and also bronze at the 2015 World Cup, and silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics, she also was a libero for the women’s national volleyball team of the United States. Currently Kayla is the head coach of the University of Mississippi’s (Ole Miss Women’s Volleyball Team).

Kayla Banwarth graduated from Wahlert Catholic High School, and was raised in Dubuque, Iowa. She graduated with 1,155 kills, 1,093 digs, and 364 aces, her team also won three state championships. Kayla set records for aces and digs at her school. In 2006, Banwarth won the Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year award.

Ole Miss women’s volleyball coach, known by her name Kayla Banwarth is currently on leave. The athletics department is conducting a review of the program, however, Ole Miss stated in a statement that no specifics about the inquiry were provided but for now assistant coach Bre Henry will serve as acting head coach.
