He joined musicians Tommy Steele, Adam Faith, Screaming Lord Sutch, and others at The 2i’s Coffee Bar in Soho, London, where he was the piano player in residence, for his debut performance. Little Richard was given this moniker in honor of his height of 5′ 2″.
