Rodax professional career started, at Admira Wacker, where he stayed for seven years and finished in 1990, as the best goalscorer in Austrian Football, in Bundesliga. Due to this, he was offered a contract by the Spanish team, known as Atlético Madrid. However, he only played for them for a little over a season before returning to Austria to join Rapid Wien, where he ended his career in 1993 at the age of 28. He briefly returned at Admira during the 1995–1996 campaign. In 1985, Rodax made his international debut for Austria. He competed in the 1990 FIFA World Cup and scored 2-1 victory over the USA in Florence.
