Born in Sayville, New York, Coan went to Sayville High School, and in 2017 he decided to commit to the University of Wisconsin to play football.

After three seasons Coan was finally the starter for Wisconsin, before suffering an injury that sidelined him for the whole of the 2020 season.

Jack would announce his transfer as a graduate student to the University of Notre Dame, where he was subsequently named the starting quarterback. He would enter the 2022 NFL Draft the following year.

What Happened Jack Coan?

Notre Dame quarterback Jack Coan exited Saturday’s game against No. 18 Wisconsin midway through the third quarter with an apparent leg injury.

It’s unclear exactly what happened, but Coan appeared to suffer the lower-leg injury on the Fighting Irish’s second drive of the second half.

He was sandwiched between two Badgers defenders on first-and-10, taking a 5-yard loss in the process. It was Wisconsin’s fifth sack of the day.
