Cacho Fontana was a renowned actor, producer, radio, and television personality. He was an Argentine. The television personality was born on April 23, 1932. He was born in Norberto Palese in the Barracas section of Buenos Aires. He died on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He died at the age of 90.
Sadly enough, the death of the legendary Argentine announcer, Cacho Fontana, occurred two days after the death of his ex wife, Liliana Caldini.
Cacho was the only child of his parents Nieves Filgueiras and Antonio Palese. At the age of 16, Cacho began his career in show business, when Jorge Loguarro, a friend and coworker who moonlighted as a stage presenter, invited him to do likewise at the Salón Argentino on Corrientes Avenue.
It was revealed that he died after suffering various health problems including post coronavirus pneumonia.
Cacho’s death was confirmed by his daughter, Antonella, in dialogue with TN Show. the television personality was initially admitted to a residence for the elderly and later transferred to the Fernandez Hospital for the pneumonia treatment.
