What Happen To Leoni Shvartsman?

At age 102, Shvartsman passed away. Sergei Kapkov, editor-in-chief of Soyuzmultfilm at TASS, was notified about it. Since 1948, Leonid Shvartsman has been employed by Soyuzmultfilm as a People’s Artist of the Russian Federation.

The Scarlet Flower, Uncle Styopa, the Policeman, Mitten, Crocodile Gena, Cheburashka, 38 Parrots, Kitten called Woof, and many other well-known animated films have him as their production designer.

Shvartsman contributed to the design of Cheburashka’s visual representation, which served as the Russian team’s mascot for the 2004 Summer Olympics.

Numerous Russian prizes, nominations for the Lenin and Stalin Prizes, and the American Hollywood for Children Award were also given to the artist. Shvartsman oversaw the Museum of Animated Film in recent years.

In 2001, his most recent cartoon, Dora-Dora-tomato, was released.
