What is Angklung And Why is Google Doodle Celebrating It
The Angklung is a musical instrument that is very native to the Sundanese in West Java, Indonesia in Asia. From records, the Angklung was first manufactured about 400 years ago. Angklung is made with bamboo tubes which are attached to a bamboo frame. Angklung has 111.232 sets of percussion tubes.
According to Google, it is celebrating the Angklung because the Angklung was “officially declared a World Heritage item” by UNESCO on November 16, 2010.
