In response to Robert Kraft’s comments on Darrelle Revis during the NFL owners’ meetings on Monday, the New York Jets are allegedly prepared to file tampering charges against the New England Patriots. On the first day of free agency, Revis agreed to a five-year, $70 million contract with the Jets.
Following comments made in public by New York Jets owner Woody Johnson about wanting to bring back Revis, the Patriots filed tampering claims against the team. The Jets were restructuring their front office and coaching staff at the same time as this occurred, while the Patriots were preparing for the postseason.

Cheating is not tolerated in the NFL at all. Infractions include “a member club interferes with another club’s employer-employee relationship” and “a member club endeavors to improperly encourage a person to seek employment with that club or with the NFL,” under the NFL’s anti-tampering policy
