Born Brian Hugh Warner on January 5, 1969, to a Roman Catholic family, Marilyn Manson fell in love with the kind of music he was not allowed to listen to. He joined his friends to form the band “Marilyn Manson”.
Their music style was hard-core rock and they used images of naked women nailed to crucifixes, and children locked in cages which endeared teenagers to their music.
The group debuted their first album Portrait of an American Family, it was a mild success.
Their second album, Antichrist Superstar in 1996, was controversial and widely popular. Manson also tried his hands at acting in the movie, Lost Highway.
Manson married photographer Lindsay Usich in a private ceremony in 2020.
