While on tour with Ted Gärdestad in 1974, Wellander got to know ABBA. With the ensemble, Wellander would record in 1975, 1977, 1979, and 1980, marking the beginning of a lengthy relationship. Wellander contributed to the band’s most recent album, “Voyage,” which was released in 2021.
