Over the course of his twenty-four-year coaching career, his teams went 224-141-1. From 1981 to 2007, Joe Gibbs was the head coach of the Washington Redskins, leading them to a 154-94-0 record. Joe Gibbs was a head coach for sixteen seasons during his career. During his tenure as head coach, the Redskins won the Super Bowl three times: in 1982, 1987, and 1991. After retiring from coaching, Gibbs was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
