Luke Shaw was born in London’s Kingston upon Thames and raised in Molesey, Surrey. Luke Shaw went to Chandlers Field Primary School and Rydens Enterprise School, where he helped the Under-15 team reach the English Schools’ FA Cup semi-finals. He began his football career with Hersham and Molesey Juniors. Shaw grew up a Chelsea fan who idolized full-back Ashley Cole. Luke Shaw played at Chelsea’s development center in Guildford but was not offered a place in the Chelsea academy. Luke Shaw stated that he hoped to one day play for the club.

Shaw scored his first goal as a senior on August 10, 2018, as Manchester United defeated Leicester City 2-1. In addition, Shaw was named the first player of the month in August and again in September of the current campaign. On October 18, 2018, he agreed to a new, five-year deal with United. Shaw was named United’s player of the month for March on 2 April, giving him a season-high three such honors. Shaw won the Sir Matt Busby and Manchester United Players’ Player of the Year awards at the end of the campaign.
