Miles Teller was born on February 20, 1987, in Chester County, Pennsylvania, in the borough of Downingtown. Miles is the only child of Mike Teller, who works as an engineer at a nuclear power plant, and Merry Flowers Teller, who works in real estate.

Erin and Dana, his older sisters, are both older than him. Teller’s parents were both born in Carneys Point, New Jersey.
