The family moved to Montclair, New Jersey, when she was very young. She was reared there and went to Edgemont Elementary School, Glenfield Middle School, Montclair High School, Morristown-Beard School, and Professional Children’s School in New York City before finishing her education there.
Christina Ricci made her screen debut at the age of nine in the 1990 film Mermaids. Her breakout role as Wednesday Addams in the 1991 film The Addams Family and its 1993 sequel Addams Family Values followed.
