Pederson, who played for the Green Bay Packers, was a member of the squad that won the Super Bowl in Super Bowl XXXI, he spent the majority of his 13-season playing career, serving as Brett Favre’s backup. ‘
Prior to his retirement in 2004, he started for the Cleveland Browns and Philadelphia Eagles as a starter and served as Dan Marino’s backup on the Miami Dolphins.
Pederson started out as an assistant coach with the Eagles under Andy Reid from 2009 to 2012. In 2016, he was hired back to serve as the Eagles’ head coach after a five-season absence.
He was one of only four people to win a Super Bowl as both a player and head coach, his greatest achievement came when he guided the team to its first Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl LII of 2017.
Pederson took a year off from football after being fired by Philadelphia at the end of the 2020 season before being hired by the Jaguars in 2022. Pederson guided the Jaguars to the AFC South title, their first postseason berth and triumph since 2017, as well as their first championship since 2017.
