American singer-songwriter-worship leader Ron Kenoly is a member of the Christian community. On December 6, 1944, he was born in Coffeyville, Kansas. To “create an environment for the manifest presence of God.” When this piece was written, Ron was 78 years old.
He has a number of degrees from esteemed colleges and institutions, including an Alameda College music degree, a PhD from Friends International Christian University in sacred music ministry, and a master’s in divinity from Faith Bible College. After serving in the US Air Force, he started a music career. Before his family problems began, he belonged to an organization called The Mellow Fellows.
Ron uses each instrument with passion and skill, which sets his music apart. Even though he only performs on one of his songs, Kenoly effortlessly takes the lead with his singing and is frequently accompanied by musicians and a large chorus. With Lift Him Up, which was the fastest-selling worship album at the time, he enjoyed commercial and critical success.
In 1985, Ron started working full-time in the ministry. In San Jose, California’s Jubilee Christian Center, he first worked as a worship leader. He was appointed music pastor in 1987 not long after receiving his ordination. His main concern as the worship leader was the direction of the service.
