Ron Rivera is a name which commands a lot of respect in the space of the National Football League as his nickname “Riverboat Ron” suggests. He was born on the 7th of January 1962 to parents of Latino descent and he has been taught in German, Spanish and English which came as no coincidence because of his Father’s military job which meant the family often moved until the family finally settled in Marina, California. He had his university education in California, Berkeley in the early ’80s. He had his first job as a coach in 1997 when he was made the quality control coach for the ‘Bears’ and he would dice go on to have an enviable career that includes being named NFL Coach of the year in 2013 and 2015 respectively, he is currently the head coach of Washington Commanders.
