He was a well-known character in the SoundCloud rap scene, which incorporates aspects of lo-fi music and harsh 808s. In August 2017, Onfroy released his debut album, 17.
In March 2018, Onfroy released his second album,? Sad! and Changes, the album’s singles, peaked at number 7 and 37 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively.
Kurt Cobain, Tupac Shakur, Cage the Elephant, The Fray, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Gorillaz, and Coldplay were among Onfroy’s influences, as well as performers from other genres.
Much of Onfroy’s brief career was marred by scandal, but he swiftly rose to become one of popular music’s most divisive and loathed individuals.
